The Swan Trust has received thank you messages and photos from local schools following half day trips taken earlier in the year.
During May six local schools enjoyed trips on Swan. Following this, teachers have been in touch and Whiteness Primary pupils have sent thank you letters.
Comments from teachers included:
In their letters, the Whiteness pupils wrote about what they enjoyed and learned on their trip. All of the schools valued their trip on Swan and asked when they could do it again.
Peter Campbell, Trustee of Swan Trust, said: “Youth engagement and development has always been at the heart of the Swan Trust. These school trips enable us to introduce local children to sailing, as well as the history of Swan, whilst enjoying a day out of the classroom on the water. We would like to thank all the pupils for their enthusiasm during their trips as well as the teachers and pupils who took the time to write to us.”
Swan Trust is grateful to the Zetland Educational Trust for financial support in providing school activities.
